Morris Area Wellness Partnership Holds 2nd Annual "Move it Morris Day" Event on Saturday, May 9, 2009 with NY JETS Player LEON WASHINGTON!
On Saturday, May 9,2009, the Morris Area Wellness Partnership once again collaborated with the Morris County Park Commission and Morristown Memorial Hospital to host "Move it Morris Day," a community call-to-action for preventing and decreasing the incidence of childhood obesity in Morris County.
Several hundred people gathered throughout the day for this FREE community event designed to showcase various educational and physical health and wellness resources available in Morris County to children and their families. "Move it Morris Day" also promoted other area community events, seminars and symposiums being planned throughout the month of May that focus on getting kids to “Eat Smart-Move More.”
